ISKL was set for its fourth game at home vs TAS, and everyone filled in as the two teams started their warm ups. Both teams were looking to go up to 3-1 in this tournament. The crowd roared and pounded water bottles and buckets as drums. The noise was deafening, and the crowd was waiting. It was sure to be a good one.
The two teams came over to half court for the jumpball. The ball was tossed and ISKL won first possession, but the first point didn’t come for the first few possessions, until a foul was called against TAS, and ISKL made a free throw to put them up 1-0. TAS then pulled back, and capped off by a three pointer, took a 7-2 lead. ISKL quickly came back, and with a buzzer beating three by #1, ISKL tied it at 7. TAS pulled up with five points, and the score remained the same until late in the first quarter, when ISKL brought the deficit back to 2 with a layup, but TAS countered with another two points of their own, to put them up 14-10 going into the second quarter.
TAS increased their lead in the second quarter 25-12. The score stayed the same until ISKL went on a streak of eleven unanswered points, seven by #11, including a three pointer that sent the crowd into a frenzy, only amplified when they brought the game back to two points going into the half. The two panther mascots made their way onto the field, and the crowd started chanting.
The third quarter started with a turnover by TAS that allowed ISKL to come back and with a buzzer beater by #23 tied the game at 25, and the crowd continued to roar. TAS then stormed back to score five unanswered, and eventually brought their lead up to 38-29 heading into the fourth quarter.
TAS brought their lead to a comfortable margin with a 45-29 lead capped by a three point play by #12. TAS held onto that lead to win the game 45-31.
